Located up in San Antonio de Escazú, just over a mile up the winding, steep roads from the center of the San José, Mirador Tiquicia is a gorgeous old farmhouse turned restaurant that was there long before the current infrastructure built up in the city.

Hands down, hiking through the Accursed Mountains from Valbonë (Valbona) to Theth in Albania is one of the most memorable things that I have done throughout my travels so far. The hike is actually a 3(+) day ordeal, and the journey to, from and before and after the hike is just as memorable and beautiful as walking the ∼15km (9.3mi) trail. The Albanian Alps are surreal, they have an energy that is not explainable no matter what I write.

Himarë is a smaller town with a slower pace compared to its neighboring resort cities. Though there is still a good amount of cafes, bars and stores along the Main Street, it is more relaxed, cheaper and much less crowded-even during the peak summer season months-than Ksamil or Vlorë.

One of my favorite things about Lisbon is all of the lookout spots, or miradouros, where people hang out and appreciate the colorful skyline of the city. If you search the word ‘Miradouro’ (loosely translates from to viewpoint from Portuguese) on your maps, it will show you all of the (named) lookout spots around you, all around the city. Being such a steep, hilly city, there are apparently over 30 known miradourous around Lisbon.

I Could Write Pages And Pages Of Things To Do In Dublin, Both The Well Known Touristy Spots And The Random Little Spots That I Stumbled Upon While Walking Around The City. I Stayed In Dublin For Over A Month And I Never Ran Out Of Things To Do In The City Itself And I Probably Didn’t Even Hit Half Of It. This Post Is Just A Little Collection Of My Favorites. Enjoy.

I Have A List Going Of The Most Beautiful Beaches That I Have Been To Around This World, And Every Single Beach On The Corn Islands That I Spent My Days At Made It On That List. With A Population Of Only Under 7,800 People On Both Islands Combined, I Was The Only One On The Beaches 99% Of The Time, With Local Families Occasionally Swimming By, And A Couple Of Other Backpackers And Foreigners Wandering Around As Well.

Though Costa Rica Is Smaller Than The State Of West Virginia, Being Around 4,365 Feet Above Sea Level, Monteverde Feels As If It Is Countries Away From Its Beach Towns. Around A 4 Hour Drive From San José, Monteverde Lays On The Edge Of The Monteverde Cloud Forest, And The Children’s Eternal Rainforest With Santa Elena Acting As The Main Town, With Bars, Cafés, Stores And More.

The Ring Road, Or Þjóðvegur 1 (Route 1) Is The 825 Mile Long Main Road That Loops Around The Entire Perimeter Of Iceland. It Can Be Driven Entirely In Only A Couple Of Days, You Could Actually Do It Non-stop In 24 Hours.

At The Edge Of Wicklow Mountains, Glendalough Comes From The Gaelic Name ‘gleann Dá Loch”, Which Translates To ‘valley Of The Two Lakes’ As The Medieval Village On The Glendalough Lakes Lays Between Two Cliffs In A Beautiful Valley Formed By Glaciers During The Ice Age. The Town Itself Dates All The Way Back To The 500s, But Most Of The Structures And Their Ruins Are From The Years Around 900-1100…that Is Insanity…

What Makes Giverny So Special Besides It’s Old Gorgeous Cobblestone Streets And Scenery, Is The House And Gardens Owned And Lived In By Claude Monet During The Final 43 Years Of His Life. He Came Across This Little Village While On A Train From Vernon To Gashy In Early 1883, And From Then Until His Death In 1926, He Lived In The Tiny Normandy Village, Spending His Days Painting His Beautifully Curated Gardens And The Landscapes And Villages Surrounding Him.
