A full travel guide on visiting Olympos Ancient City: all you need to know about visiting some of Turkey's best ruins along the clear blue Mediterranean Sea.
Over the past 3 and a half weeks I have been spending my days living and “working” in Kaş, in southern Türkiye-and it has been one of the greatest times of my young life so far. Kaş is a perfect little beach town around 2 hours east of Fethiye, and around 3 hours west of Antalya. Time does not exist in Kaş, the days are measured in the most unreal sunrises and sunsets.
Over the past few days I slept in a tent on the beach on the Turkish Riviera, surrounded by the towering cliffs of Butterfly Valley (Kelebekler Vadisi), under the brightest shooting stars, and next to the crashing waves of the clearest blue water that I have ever seen. I spent my days sunbathing on the cliffs, diving in when I got too hot, and watching the sailboats and fish go by me below until the sunset.
Out of my weeks spent in Türkiye, one of my favorites, if not my favorite, little adventure was out to Demre from Kaş to visit the Saint Nicholas church. Visiting the old church had been on my list of things to hit here since I started planning my trip, and though it is small, it was seriously so beautiful and mind bending.
I am totally biased having worked there for a couple of weeks, but with no doubt, Sole’n Blu is the best place to stay in Kaş. The atmosphere mixed with the most beautiful terrace view over the Mediterranean is seriously just the very beginning of all of the factors that make Sole’n Blu the best.
While the resort-y metropolitan feeling city of Antalya is the most visited, Kas is the gem of the beach towns along the Riviera. I have been to some really amazing little beach towns both on the Mediterranean and around the world, and Kas is undoubtedly my favorite so far.
