THE MOST BEAUTIFUL RESTAURANT IN SAN JOSÉ, COSTA RICA: MIRADOR TIQUICIA
On my last night of my month exploring Costa Rica, I had assumed that I had already made my favorite memories and seen all of the most beautiful sights-I was so wrong as dinner at Mirador Tiquicia was one of my favorite nights during the entirety of my fall trip around Costa Rica and Europe.
Located up in San Antonio de Escazú, just over a mile up the winding, steep roads from the center of the San José, Mirador Tiquicia is a gorgeous old farmhouse turned restaurant that was there long before the current infrastructure built up in the city.
Not only is the traditional Costa Rican food amazing, the views and the ambiance are so unbelievably beautiful.

Every Thursday all year long Mirador Tiquicia has Noche Tica with live marimba music and a traditional folkloric dance performance in front of the most unreal backdrop of San José-it was so much fun and so cool to see.
I would strongly recommend making a reservation before hand (it is essential on Thursdays for Noche Tica), as it was filled up when we went, and you will want some dibs on the best tables. You can visit Mirador Tiquicia’s website and make reservations here.

If you do not want to order from the main menu to save some money, there was also a traditional food buffet for less than the main course, with the same experience.
My pick on the menu to recommend to you is the Filete de Pollo en Salsa Maracuyá (Boneless Chicken Breast With Passionfruit Sauce) for 9000 Colones, or $16 USD.
