THE BEST PLACE TO STAY IN KAS, TURKEY: SOLE’N BLU
I am totally biased having worked there for a couple of weeks, but with no doubt, Sole’n Blu is the best place to stay in Kaş. The atmosphere mixed with the most beautiful terrace view over the Mediterranean is seriously just the very beginning of all of the factors that make Sole’n Blu the best.

Working at Sole’n Blu for a while allowed me to constantly meet and talk to people that were coming and going, and I am not exaggerating when I say that a majority of the guests extended their stays only after a day or two. Not only was it lovely to learn about such cool people from around the world, it was also always fun to see that same pattern play out with everyone.
The hostel part is so fun being super social in such a beautiful spot-but also a hotel with a gorgeous private rooms.
The free (!!) breakfast is so unreal that it is stupid. There is a kitchen as well, and a little private beach on the cliffs, a 5 minute walk away-that is such a special little spot.
Along with the beautiful surroundings and social aspect, Sole’n Blu also organizes lots of fun nights with bar crawls constantly, game nights, live music and more. You can also book a cool little boat tour to the Sunken City of Kekova through them-they do it all.
That all might come off as hectic, but despite it all the energy was always chilled.
Sole n’ Blu is on the peninsula part of Kas, around a 5 or 6 minute drive outside of the main squares in town. Getting into Kaş at first, I was a little stressed that I would be super far out from the town on the peninsula, but it ended up being the most perfect location, and an easy ride in. I couldn’t have been in a better spot.
MAIN TOWN VS. PENINSULA:
Main Town: This is where all of the stores, super markets, pharmacies, cafes, bars, and everything is. When you need something or want to spend a night out you will need to go into town. From the center, there are little minibuses that go to the peninsula to drop people off wherever, twice every hour for ∼$1.
Peninsula: The Peninsula (Çukurbağ Peninsula), is the part of Kaş that jets out into the sea, lined by beautiful beach hotels on the cliffs, with a couple of public sandy beaches. There are two nice restaurants on the peninsula (more on that in a second), and two little markets if you need something quickly.
The word about Sole’n Blu got around this Summer in the circles of people traveling in the Balkans and Turkey, and with everyone extending their stays, there was often no beds available. If you are planning to hit Kaş and want to stay at the best hostel, get on it!
Did I mention that I can not express deeply enough how insanely good the breakfast is.
Beds at Sole’n Blu currently start at $19/night-which is insane for the area compared to the prices around the peninsula.
