Though Koh Kood is much less visited than Thailand’s well known islands down south, getting to and from is just as simple, if you do it correctly.

In Thailand, the crowds can seem hard to escape a lot of the time-though I have to remember that I am a tourist as well-but if you are looking for the silence, Koh Kood (known also as Koh Kut) serves as a quieter, lesser known oasis to the east right along the Cambodian border.

The Hà Giang Loop in the Northern most area of the country is the best thing that you can do on your visit to Vietnam-and it is also one of the most popular things to do for that reason. I highly recommend doing the loop through Mama’s Homestay, the best tour group option in Vietnam.

About 70km (43mi) off mainland, both Little Corn Island and Big Corn Island offer the beautiful white sand beaches and clear turquoise waters that people travel from all around the world to visit, with everything except for the crowds and resort-y tourist traps.

Nestled in the hills of southern Lisbon is the Alfama neighborhood, one of the oldest, and most beautiful neighborhoods in the entire city. The neighborhood is filled with the typical bright tiled neoclassical architecture, and the small, narrow roads light up at night with music and people dancing spilling into the streets from the fado bars and small little hole in the wall restaurants.

I am totally biased having worked there for a couple of weeks, but with no doubt, Sole’n Blu is the best place to stay in Kaş. The atmosphere mixed with the most beautiful terrace view over the Mediterranean is seriously just the very beginning of all of the factors that make it the best.

Over the past 3 and a half weeks I have been spending my days living and “working” in Kaş, in southern Türkiye-and it has been one of the greatest times of my young life so far. Time does not exist in Kaş, the days are measured in the most unreal sunrises and sunsets.

While the resort-y metropolitan feeling city of Antalya is the most visited, Kas is the gem of the beach towns along the Riviera. I have been to some really amazing little beach towns both on the Mediterranean and around the world, and Kas is undoubtedly my favorite so far.

The Albanian Riviera has such a good amount of the most beautiful secluded beaches in all of Eastern Europe, but Filikur Beach in Himarë just has such a special energy, and I made such amazing memories there this summer. No visit to Himarë is complete without at LEAST one visit to Filikur Beach.
